Complex Disease Diagnosis (Ongoing)

Data-driven disease characterization and ultrasensitive molecular diagnostics

Single-Molecule Detection for Endometriosis Diagnosis

Endometriosis is a chronic disease characterized by the presence of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterus. It affects about 1 in 10 women of reproductive age, yet diagnosis is often delayed for years and typically relies on invasive procedures. This diagnostic gap highlights the need for sensitive, reliable, and minimally invasive approaches to enable earlier detection and diagnosis.

We combine data-driven biomarker discovery with single-molecule array (SiMoA) technology for ultrasensitive detection and validation of candidate biomarkers for endometriosis. This integrated approach aims to identify and quantify molecular signatures with the potential to enable earlier and minimally invasive diagnosis.
